A federal prison guard is headed to prison herself — and the Cash App account names she picked tell the whole story.

Corrections Officer Ashley Brown, 37, of Hinesville, Georgia, worked at FCI Jesup, a federal correctional institution in southeast Georgia. From May through September 2022, federal prosecutors say she took more than $80,000 in bribes — paid through three Cash App accounts operating under fake names: “Bonnie Bonnie,” “Clyde Clyde,” and “Honey Honey.”

The payments bought methamphetamine, K2, marijuana, and cellphones, which Brown smuggled into the federal prison. The contraband then moved through the facility’s own commissary system with help from two inmate partners, Adrian “Abe” Sims and Navarus “Tez” Bryant.

Brown pleaded guilty in February to 24 counts of accepting a bribe as a public official and 16 money laundering counts. On September 17, 2026, she was sentenced to 48 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Her inmate partners caught 78 and 57 months. With the final sentencings, all eight defendants charged in the scheme have now been adjudicated.

The case came apart through a Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General investigation — the agency that polices the Justice Department’s own institutions.

“Brown violated her sworn duty as a Correctional Officer by allowing drugs and other contraband into FCI Jesup, putting inmates and her fellow correctional officers at risk,” said Eric Fehlman, DOJ OIG Special Agent in Charge for the Southeast Region.
