Officer Daniel White Told His Wife The Dogs Were Gone And She Was Next — Red Bank Just Fired Him
A Tennessee police officer called his wife and told her the family dogs were gone — that he had made sure of it — and that she was next. This week, the city of Red Bank fired him.
Officer Daniel White of the Red Bank Police Department was charged with domestic violence, intimidation, and harassment. The arrest affidavit lays out a phone call in which he threatened the family’s dogs and his wife.
And according to detectives, White didn’t say it in private. Officers standing at the scene heard him say it themselves.
The arrest happened in Sequatchie County, just up the road from the city White policed outside Chattanooga. The firing from the city followed soon after.
What The Affidavit Says
Charges say White called his wife and told her the dogs were gone — that he had taken care of it — and that she was next. That is the threat officers allegedly overheard while it was happening.
Three charges from one call: domestic violence covers the relationship, and intimidation and harassment cover the words themselves. The affidavit is now the public record sitting underneath the city’s decision to end his employment.
Because officers were on the scene and heard the threat in real time, this case doesn’t hinge on a single statement. The state’s paperwork already lists the people who heard it.
One Department, Three Scandals
White’s case doesn’t sit alone on the Red Bank blotter. Another Red Bank officer just lost her state certification for faking traffic stops — phony stops written to collect overtime pay she never earned.
Before that, a 2022 federal lawsuit accused Red Bank officers of excessive force. That case named the department in federal court over how its officers treated people on the street.
One small department. Three separate scandals stacked in the same news cycle — an officer fired over threats to his own household, an officer decertified over paper stops, and a federal force complaint still in the record.
What Happens Next
White answers his charges in court, and no conviction has happened yet — the affidavit is the state’s version of events until a judge says otherwise. His job, though, is already gone.
The person living with the consequences is the wife on the other end of that call. The dogs were first. She was told she was next.
