Chickasha Police Lt. Jeremy Alexander Charged With 27 Counts Involving Children
Lieutenant Jeremy Markee Alexander spent nearly two decades wearing the Chickasha Police Department badge. On Friday, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation booked him into the Grady County jail — on 27 felony counts, most of them involving children.
The arrest happened in Chickasha itself, the small city about 45 minutes southwest of Oklahoma City that Alexander had policed. The jail roster confirms he remains held without bond set, in the same county where he served as a law enforcement officer.
The count breakdown is stark: one count of child abuse by injury, eleven counts of distributing obscene material to a minor, and fifteen counts of possessing child abuse material.
District Attorney Jason Hicks is prosecuting. Investigators have not yet said how the accusations surfaced — whether through casework, personal contacts, or online activity — and the department has not announced whether Alexander remains employed.
Adding a strange wrinkle: court records show Alexander was already awaiting a protective order hearing scheduled for later this month. The criminal charges landed before that hearing could happen. Nobody has publicly explained what that case involves or who filed it.
The case is young, and charges are allegations — Alexander is presumed innocent until proven guilty. But the questions pile up fast: Who are the victims? How long was this going on? And how does a two-decade officer end up facing a count sheet like this one?
Oh Dang Really will follow this case as it moves through Grady County court.
