Cpl. Sean Farrell Charged After Bodycam Shows He Fired On Hands-Up College Kid

Upper Pottsgrove Corporal Sean Farrell, 58, is charged with voluntary manslaughter in the August 23 incident that took the life of Glen “Bubba” Pysher IV, 22 — a college baseball catcher who went to the wrong house after a night out in his own hometown.

Prosecutors say Farrell’s own body-worn camera shows Pysher with his hands up, unarmed, 17-20 feet away, when Farrell fired twice mid-command. Farrell claimed Pysher charged him — the recording shows otherwise. A Taser and baton sat unused on his belt.

Bail was set at $75,000 with a full weapons surrender. Preliminary hearing: September 10.

Charges are allegations. Farrell is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
