Denver Golmon: Hammond Cop Pleads Guilty To Unmasking A Federal Informant

Denver Keith Golmon, a Hammond, Louisiana police officer, pleaded guilty in federal court Friday to retaliating against a government witness. Court documents say he leaked federal discovery videos to expose a confidential informant in a cockfighting investigation, then sent another Hammond officer the informant’s photo with the message: “You wanna pick up a few illegals? Don’t mention me.” The informant was detained at his workplace by two officers. Prosecutors say Golmon used his city-issued computer and involved immigration enforcement in the setup. A judge held him without bond, finding him a danger to the informant. He pleaded guilty ahead of a plea deadline set for September 11.
