Jarrod Bishop UPDATE: Training Lieutenant Left The Scene, Then Called It A Deer

A Duncan, Oklahoma police training lieutenant reported hitting a deer at 10:46 PM. Troopers say the collision actually happened at 9:39 — and the man on the bicycle he struck, David Setayesh, never made it home.

Court documents say debris from Jarrod Bishop’s Ford F-150 was scattered two hundred feet down Highway 81. When troopers found the truck at his house, they documented paint transfer, dried biological evidence on the fender — and a mostly-used roll of paper towels inside the cab.

Bishop refused a chemical test, so troopers got a warrant. He also refused to give up his phone passcode. Twice. He’s now facing a second-degree felony complaint on a $150,000 bond.

Ask yourself: if anyone else called in a deer strike sixty-seven minutes after a collision, what would happen to them?
