Gallatin County Deputy Jason Walker met a domestic violence victim through his job — he answered her call for help. Investigators say that between May and August he pulled her personal information from her driver’s license through a police database, then sent it to her with the message: “This is the information that I can get if I want to.”
Detectives cite two on-duty incidents in full uniform — one at a gas station, one at her home — plus a cover-up: deleting her from Snapchat, wiping call logs, and disabling his cruiser’s GPS.
Walker now faces six charges. He’s held on $100,000 bond at the Boone County Detention Center, suspended from the department, with his case returning to court September 1.
Sheriff Bud Webster called in the Boone County Sheriff’s Office the same day the victim filed her complaint. She reported it herself — and Walker was arrested within 24 hours.
